Two rivers, a stone town stacked on a hillside, and overlooks that do half the work for me. Harpers Ferry is the closest thing I have to a home venue that is not my actual town.

What I already know about photographing here

I photographed Annie and Thomas's wedding at Harpers Ferry Brewery, and I have spent years learning how the light behaves on these hills: mist in the valleys until mid-morning, gold on the ridges at the end of the day.

The overlook above town where the Potomac cuts through the ridge. I photographed Ashley and Alan's session on these rocks, sunset included. It is a real hike in real shoes, and the view earns it.
