Berkeley County is where I work most. If your wedding is in Martinsburg, I am already close enough that getting there is not part of the conversation.

What a Martinsburg wedding day usually looks like

Most Martinsburg weddings I photograph split across two places. A church in town for the ceremony, then a short drive to the reception. That is a good structure and it costs you far less of the afternoon than couples expect, because nothing here is more than about fifteen minutes from anything else.

Mersades and Rogelio got married in December 2025 and finished the night at The Shenandoah downtown. Winter weddings here go dark early, which sounds like a problem and is not. It just means the day is shorter and the evening is longer, and I plan the portrait time around that rather than against it.

The practical part

There is no travel fee for Martinsburg or anywhere else in Berkeley County. Full wedding packages start at $5,000. You get a personal reply to your inquiry, usually within the hour, and it will be from me rather than a form.

The venues

Martinsburg wedding venues I have photographed

Every venue here comes from a real wedding in my records.

The Shenandoah

Martinsburg, WV · 100 West Martin Street, downtown

A five-story Georgian Revival hotel that opened in 1926 and is now a wedding venue. Tall arched windows, chandeliers, and panelled rooms off the main floor that are quiet enough to steal ten minutes in. Everything after the ceremony can happen under one roof, which matters more in December than it does in June.

Photographed Mersades and Rogelio's reception and evening portraits here in December 2025.

Beyond the venues

Where the portraits happen

Downtown Martinsburg

Brick and limestone, the old rail town bones, and enough covered doorways that weather is not the end of a portrait plan. Most of it is walkable from The Shenandoah.

The edges of town

Five minutes out and you are into fields, treelines and farm lanes. When the schedule gives us fifteen minutes instead of forty, this is usually where we go.
